On 9th May 2026, Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sanstha Organized a spiritual discourse by Rev. Swami Jyotirupanandaji Maharaj, Former President of the Ramakrishna Mission, Moscow, Russia. He was accompanied by Swami Devasthanandaji Maharaj from Belur Math. The program was attended by around 80 devotees.

The evening began at 6:15 PM with Arati, followed by Vedic chanting by devotees at 6:50 PM. This was followed by the felicitation ceremony

Rev. Swami Jyotirupanandaji Maharaj emphasized that spiritual life requires strict adherence to rules, while mundane life should be approached rationally. He highlighted the global interest in Indian culture, Sanskrit, and Hinduism, stressing the need for more teachers. The goal of life is God-realization, with all other pursuits secondary.

He explained the Four Purusharthas—Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha—emphasizing moral living and truthfulness. He praised Ramakrishna Mission schools for their “Man-making Education” and recalled Swami Vivekananda’s prophecy linking service to the nation with India’s independence. Swamiji advised moderation in spiritual practice, filling the mind with holy thoughts, and practicing truth in speech, action, and thought.
He shared lessons from his monastic life about preserving energy for God-realization and noted that many monks have attained realization in Ramakrishna Math but remain humble.

. Finally, he emphasized that ego is biggest problem in spiritual life and gave examples of Thakur and his ego lessness, he advised devotees to try to transform convert kaccha ego into bhakta’s ego. The discourse concluded with gratitude to SRVS, followed by Pranams to Swamiji's and and Prasada distribution.

Rev. Swami Yogatmanandaji Maharaj then delivered a profound discourse on “Pani ko Jab Pyas Lage”, inspired by the Bharud of Saint Eknath Maharaj. He explained through Vedantic philosophy that the Atman is complete in itself, needing nothing external for fulfillment. Every human being, he emphasized, is inherently divine and whole, and true happiness does not depend on material possessions.
Swamiji further elaborated that God/Atman resides in the heart, accessible here and now, without waiting for heaven after death. He also highlighted the five kleshas—Avidya (ignorance), Asmita (egoism), Raga (attachment), Dvesha (aversion), and Abhinivesha (fear of death)—which bind us to suffering. With sincere spiritual practice, one can overcome these afflictions and attain liberation which is aim of life

Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sanstha (SRVS), Thane, conducted an inspiring lecture on the Life and Teachings of Swami Vivekananda on 18th April 2026 for students of 8th to 10th standard at M. H. Vidyalaya, Thane. Around 60 students enthusiastically participated in the session. The lecture was delivered by our Youth Devotee, Shri Avanish Awade, and was very well received by the young students. The talk highlighted the great qualities of Swami Vivekananda during his childhood, such as his deep love for the poor, belief in equality, fearlessness, and his inquisitive mind in the search for truth.

Students remained actively engaged throughout the session due to the interactive and engaging presentation style of Avanish. After the lecture, students enthusiastically asked several questions related to the presentation. Those who participated by asking questions were encouraged with chocolates, which added joy and motivation to the session. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by a teacher from M. H. Vidyalaya, expressing sincere appreciation to Avanish Awade, Bhide Sir & Ajay Gokhale for organizing and conducting such a meaningful and inspiring session for the students.

A free ten‑day Sanskrit Sambhashan Shibir was organized by Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sanstha (SRVS), Thane in collaboration with Sanskrit Bharati from 15th to 25th March 2026, held daily between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The camp aimed to spread awareness of Sanskrit and encourage participants to learn and converse in the language.

The sessions were conducted by Pradnya Madam, who employed a distinctive teaching style that combined expressive acting with clear word pronunciation—mirroring the natural way a child acquires language. This engaging approach made the learning process lively and accessible.

Each day, 15–20 participants attended, ranging in age from 16 to 70 years. On the concluding day, participants showcased their progress by performing short two‑minute skits in pairs, demonstrating their ability to converse in Sanskrit.

In recognition of her efforts, Pradnya Madam was formally felicitated by Shri Ajay Gokhale, Secretary of SRVS, and presented with a book on Ramakrishna‑Vivekananda Literature.
The Shibir proved to be highly beneficial, inspiring several participants to register for advanced classes, thereby continuing their journey in learning and speaking Sanskrit.

Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sanstha Thane organized a Half-Day Spiritual Retreat for Women on 1st March 2026 as part of the Women’s Day celebrations. The retreat was graced by Rev. The auspicious occasion of Sri Ramakrishna Tithi Pooja was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at the Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sanstha Thane on 19th February 2026

Ramakrishna Mandir was beautifully decorated with flowers, balloons, and rangoli, creating a festive and spiritual atmosphere.

The program commenced with Vedic chanting by lady devotees, setting a serene and devotional tone. This was followed by Chandi Path and the Pooja of Bhagwan Sri Ramakrishna Dev.

At 10:30 AM, Homa was performed, after which devotees sang bhajans

At 12:00 Noon Bhog was offered to Thakurji, followed by Khandanbhava Bandhan Arati and Pushpanjali to Thakur, Maa, and Swamiji.

The morning session concluded with Ramakrishna Sharanam and the distribution of delicious bhojan prasad to 170 devotees.

A Book Stall was also organized by the Sanstha, offering a wide range of Sri Ramakrishna–Vivekananda literature. This initiative allowed devotees to deepen their understanding of the teachings of Thakur, Maa, and Swamiji, and to carry the inspiration of the day into their homes.

The scale and success of the celebration were made possible through the generous donations offered by many devotees. Their heartfelt contributions ensured that the arrangements, decorations, rituals, and prasad distribution could be carried out with devotion and grandeur

In the evening, 40 devotees gathered for Aarti and Ramakrishna Nama Sankirtan.
Prasad was offered to all present, bringing the day-long celebration to a joyful close.

The entire day was marked by devotion, spiritual fervor, and a sense of community. The blend of rituals, chanting, homa, bhajans, prasad, and literature reflected the essence of Sri Ramakrishna’s teachings—faith, unity, and joy in spiritual practice. Thakur, Maa, and Swamiji.

Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sanstha, Thane, celebrated Saraswati Puja on Vasant Panchami on 23rd January 2026 with great devotion and enthusiasm. Around 130 devotees participated in the auspicious occasion.



The atmosphere was filled with devotion, music, and spiritual fervor, making the celebration a memorable and uplifting experience for all present.




Today at Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sanstha, Thane we joyfully celebrated National Youth Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the eternal inspiration for the youth of India and the world.

A vibrant group of 37 Students from Amber International School, accompanied by 2 teachers participated in the program with great enthusiasm and curiosity, The session was highly interactive and insightful. Using new Presentation provided by Ramakrishna Math Khar, our Yuva Co-Ordinator Shri Avanish Awade conducted a 1- hour presentation-cum-dialogue, engaging the students in values, strength and ideals of Swami Vivekananda

. The students actively participated and reflected the true spirit of the day. The program concluded with snacks and fruit as prasad, and each student received a book, encouraging them to continue the journey of learning and self-development

The 164th Swami Vivekananda Jayanti was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sanstha, Thane, on 10th January 2026. A total of 116 devotees participated in the auspicious occasion.

The program commenced at 7:40 AM with soulful Vedic chanting, setting a serene and spiritual atmosphere.

At 8:00 AM, the Pooja began, followed by melodious Bhajans rendered by devotees, filling the hall with divine vibrations.

At 11:45 AM, the Bhog Arati was performed, and devotees collectively chanted “Ramakrishna Sharanam”, invoking blessings and peace. The celebration concluded with Shanti Jal, signifying harmony and spiritual fulfillment.

Finally, devotees were served Prasad, marking the end of a spiritually enriching day dedicated to the ideals and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.

The congregation was deeply engrossed in the devotional songs, enjoying the spiritual mood that continued through the Pooja and the sacred Homa.

Kalpataru Day, a significant occasion commemorating the Master's divine self-revelation and the bestowal of spiritual freedom, was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sanstha, Thane. The event brought together approximately 70 devotees in a serene and spiritual atmosphere.

Japa & Dhyana – The program commenced at 2:30 pm with 30 minutes of Japa and Dhyana, allowing devotees to immerse themselves in meditation and prayer.
Reading of Historic Events: At 3:00 PM, Smt. Shilpa Ghare presented a reading of the sacred events that took place on 1st January 1886, the day revered as Kalpataru Day in the life of Sri Ramakrishna.

Soulful Bhajans: Following the reading, devotees were treated to a series of soulful bhajans that elevated the spiritual ambiance and filled hearts with devotion.
Prasad Distribution: The program concluded with the chanting of Ramakrishna Sharanam, invoking the Master's grace and blessings. After the spiritual sessions, prasad was lovingly distributed among all attendees, fostering a sense of community and shared joy

Kalpataru Day holds immense importance for devotees of Sri Ramakrishna, symbolizing divine grace and liberation. The celebration at Thane was a heartfelt tribute to the Master's teachings and his eternal presence in the lives of seekers.

The Vivekotsav 2025 Elocution Competition was successfully conducted under the auspices of Ramakrishna Mission, Khar, at New Horizon School, Kasarvadavli, Thane. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 542 students across classes V–VII and VIII–X, representing various schools from Thane and nearby areas.

Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sanstha played a vital role by providing the venue and mobilizing 40 judges, coordinators, and volunteers to ensure smooth execution.
The program commenced at 8:45 am and continued till 5:30 pm.
Students delivered inspiring speeches reflecting the ideals and vision of Swami Vivekananda.

Prizes were awarded to the top 3 Positions from each group, recognizing their eloquence and content included in their speech
The event was not only a platform for showcasing talent but also a meaningful step in spreading the timeless message of Swami Vivekananda among the youth.

The auspicious occasion of Sri Sri Maa Sarada Devi Jayanti was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sanstha, Thane. Around 90 devotees participated, making it a spiritually uplifting day.

Devotees adorned the Mandir with flowers and garlands offered to Thakur, Maa, Swamiji, and Prabhu Ramachandra. A saree was beautifully draped to Maa Sarada. Vedic Chanting: The program commenced with Vedic chanting by 10 devotees. .

A sacred Homa was performed with the chanting of the 108 Names of Maa Sarada Devi, accompanied by offerings into the fire. All devotees were provided 108 names on leaflets to accompany chanting, which filled whole atmosphere with devotion

Gita Jayanti marks the day when Lord Krishna imparted the sacred teachings of the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. It is a day of spiritual reflection, devotion, and learning
To Celebrate this sacred day Gita Chanting was arranged at SRVS Thane on 1st Dec 2025 at 10 am. All 18 chapters were recited by 8 Devotees at Sri Ramakrishna Temple.
The event was a profound spiritual experience, bringing together devotees in the recitation of timeless wisdom. We thank all participants for their dedication and invite everyone to join us for future celebrations


On the auspicious occasion of Kartiki Ekadashi, Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sanstha (SRVS), Thane Centre, hosted a spiritually enriching discourse by Rev. Swami Sukhanandaji Maharaj on 2nd November 2025, attended by approximately 75 devoted bhaktas.

The evening commenced with the arrival of Rev. Swami Sukhanandaji Maharaj at 5:00 PM . This was followed by the Sandhya Arati of Bhagwan Sri Ramakrishnadev, invoking divine vibrations.

Devotees then participated in Ramanam Sankirtan, celebrating the sacred name of Lord Rama in collective devotion.

Felicitations were offered to Swamiji by Shri Ajay Gokhale, Secretary of SRVS Thane.

The central event was Swamiji’s discourse on the Shiva Prasang from Ramcharitmanas, beautifully elaborating the spiritual relationship between Lord Shiva and Lord Rama. The evening was further graced by soulful bhajans rendered by Swamiji, leaving the audience deeply moved and spiritually uplifted.

The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Devayani Awade, followed by the distribution of Upvas Khichdi and Phal Prasad to all attendees.
